Pudsey Pickles

Why stick to boring run of the mill shop bought products when you can impress your friends and family with the amazing taste sensations that can be found courtesy of Pudsey Pickles, fancy a Pina Colada on your morning slice of toast then check out the Pineapple and Malibu flavour – brings a little sunshine to the darkest of mornings – I love this one. My favourite of the lot though is the Lime Pickle and maybe the Chili Jam too, I love hot and spicy and this hits the mark, why not try the Tomato Ketchup too, it’s made the way it should be made with care and attention to detail and with more tomatoes packed into it than you could imagine, add a few ingredients that no doubt are a family secret and you have a taste sensation that Lee and Daryl have perfected. There are some amazing concoctions available that may at first sound a little odd but try them and feel your taste buds come alive, you won’t regret it. Pudsey Pickles are in my opinion one of the finest up and coming independent manufacturers, or should that be creators of unusual, traditional and simply stunning jams, chutneys and sauces that I have ever had the pleasure of buying from – oh and the customer service is good too……..

With an apt sales pitch of "preserving the tradition" this intimate, family run business was literally spawn and now run from their garden with stunning results. Originating from a glut of home-grown veggies the entrepreneurial family sells their pickles, jams and chutneys en masse from home and at local farmers markets and other events where little bowls and shards of crackers are laid out for you to try. There is a glorious selection of chutneys my personal favorite being cider apple it is a delight to buy these whole treats.

Fantastic pickles, tried so many but love the chilli jam fabulous range some thing for every one and every age. Bought a christmas hamper for my mum filled with jams & chutneys favourite one strawberry & champagne simply to die for! Hamper packed with local cheese, crackers & a bottle of port fabulous gift :-) Long may this business grow into our supermarkets keep up the good work! Deb

Pudsey Pickles are absolutely fabulous! We've known Pudsey Pickles now for around 4 years or so and rate them massively. We pretty much have a whole shelf in our fridge devoted to them so picking favourites is kind of hard, there's just so many to choose from! We tend to like spicy so the Chilli Jam, Fire Relish and Lime Pickle have to get a mention. Don't forget to try the mustards too, my favourite is the Extra Hot! Plenty of others for a milder palate though - Pudsey Peculiar is great in a sandwich, various variations on Cranberry are perfect with a Sunday lunch! We also organise local craft and food events and love it when Pudsey Pickles are able to stand. We're a local business celebrating local traders and local talent and Pudsey Pickles fit in with that perfectly!
